| Sports fishing in the region of the North Moravia and Silesia. The sports and recreational fishing in the Oder, Olse, Becva and Moravia river basins has a long tradition. For more than 100 years the angling for fish has been organized there by fishing syndicates and associations, now united in the Czech Fishing Association (CFA). This civil association managed by the Territorial Committee for North Moravia and Silesia encompasses almost 50,000 active members and young candidates in 58 local organizations. Almost all streams and water reservoirs excluding ponds designed to produce fry and dams used to supply water are included in the trout and non-trout fishing districts being included in the common fishery system under the CFA. |
