| Great Lakes Charter Association Salmon Trout ... |
( Details ) |
| So you have finally decided to see what Great Lakes Charter fishing is all about! If you are spending this adventure with family, friends or business associates there are a few key factors beyond price that you should consider. Most charters last between 5-1/2 to 10 hours so the Captain and mates (if your charter uses one) personality along with experience become very important. Can you imagine being on board with Captain Bligh? Experience and performance are top considerations. Try to determine if this is a full time career or just a part time job for the Captain. The best way to determine your compatibility with a particular charter service is to go to your local sport shows and talk with a few captains to determine if this is someone you would like to be with all day. A reference from someone you know who has used this service before is an excellent start. |

( Details ) |
| Shelbyville muskie club is a Lake Shelbyville Illinois based musky fishing club. The Lake Shelbyville Muskie Club was initiated on October 3, 2000 with a meeting at Eagle Creek Resort. Thirteen prospective members attended the first meeting where discussions centered on the club charter, club funtions and what people would want out of a fishing club. The club was formed on November 7, 2000 as a family oriented, independent organization. The goal of the club is to share information on muskie fishing, promote the sport of muskie fishing and good sportsmanship, work with the Corps of Engineers and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources on various projects such as stocking, habitat restoration, and improving water quality, to educate the public and other anglers on muskie fishing generally, and to promote catch and release of muskies. In the past years the LSMC has donated it's manpower and other resources to the Illinois Muskie Tournament Trail, Lake Shelbyville Alliance, Illini Muskie Alliance and the DNR. |
