Description:
Three of my greatest passions in life are Carving, West Coast Native Arts and Fishing. The Spirit Lure brings them all together in balance. Each Piece is inspired by the Legends of the West Coast Mythology, the dawn of time (The Dream Time), where any one could become anything. You could transform yourself just by having an association or an adventure into any living thing. I reflect this transformation of life in my art. Each piece is one of a kind meticulously designed, hand carved, burned and painted in the traditional style. Long ago each fish hook used was carved with special designs to bring good luck and large fish. It was believed that the carving or symbol would beckon the fish to the hook.
